New Autism Care Center Launches in Boca Raton by ABA Centers of Florida

The company offers therapy services based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) to children with autism spectrum disorder.

ABA Centers of Florida recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the unveiling of its Florida flagship autism care center in Boca Raton. During the ceremony, guests received exclusive tours of the premises, allowing attendees to explore the cutting-edge facility and learn about its sensory-friendly designs, which cater to all levels of the autism spectrum. The play space is designed to offer children with autism an engaging and vibrant environment to receive therapy lessons. These lessons will help them navigate life on the spectrum and teach them the necessary tools to lead a more fulfilling life.

The kids at the ABA Centers of Florida were in for a surprise when two local mascots, Stanley C. Panther of the Florida Panthers and Billy the Marlin of the Miami Marlins, visited them. The mascots entertained the children with a sing-along along with various interactions. ABA Centers of Florida is an official sponsor of the Florida Panthers for the 2023-2024 season.

Using a play-based approach focusing on positive reinforcement, ABA Centers of Florida offers applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy services to children with autism spectrum disorder. Their innovative system eliminates families’ long wait times when searching for a diagnosis or treatment. Traditionally, families have had to wait several months to a couple of years to receive these services for their children. However, ABA Centers of Florida typically have a child in service within 47 days from initial contact with the organization, making it a highly efficient and effective solution.

Although the ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the grand opening of the Florida flagship autism care center to the public, ABA Centers of Florida has already provided autism therapy to 60 children through its Boca Raton clinic. Additionally, the organization serves over 260 children across South and Central Florida.

“Nearly 5% of children in Florida have autism and we understand that when we make an impact in those kiddos’ lives, we make an impact in their siblings’ lives, in their parents’ lives, in their teachers’ lives,” Christopher Barnett says, CEO of ABA Centers of Florida. “The ripple effect of the work that the team here does permeates throughout the entire community.”

Lisa McCusker, the Executive Director of ABA Centers of Florida’s clinic in Boca Raton, praised her clinical staff for their work with children who struggle with basic self-care tasks such as dressing and bathing. With the team’s help, these children can successfully perform these tasks and more after just a few months of therapy.

ABA Centers of Florida’s Boca Raton autism care center is located at 7000 West Palmetto Park Road, 6th Floor, Boca Raton.
